How to join...
VacanciesAt present the club has vacancies for girls & boys born in 1999/2000/2001 & limited vacancies in older age groups. Children born 1999/2000/2001 should be able to swim 25m frontcrawl, backstroke & breaststroke showing correct technique. If in lessons involving the National Plan for the Teaching of Swimming, they should be level 8/9. Older children (born 1998/earlier) should be able to swim at least 50m of each stroke
Masters
The Masters Section has in excess of 20 members of varying ability and is
always looking for new members. Members have the opportunity to enter various
masters events staged throughout the year and occasionally even partake in
social activities.
We meet on Thursday evenings and to be able to join, swimmers should be able to swim freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke, be able to complete at least 40 lengths (1000m) and wish to improve their technique and stamina. For those who are more proficient and are capable of swimming 2500 - 3000m in 1 hour there is a further session on Monday evening.

Times
The youngest swimmers are offered 3 sessions per week –

6.30 – 7.15pm 8.10 – 9.00am |
To progress they need to be able to attend at least 2 sessions a week. More advanced swimmers are offered more sessions, up to a maximum of 13 hours training per week.
Costs
The annual membership fee is £36.00 per year (to cover insurance and overheads); squad fees (which covers pool hire and the Chief Coach's salary) start at £74.00 per quarter.
