ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The Club’s AGM on Friday, 16 May 2003, was very poorly attended. The quorum for the meeting was not achieved. This means that we need to find an alternative approach for ratifying the decisions which should have been made at the AGM. The Club’s Management Committee has decided that all members should be notified of the proposals through Wavelength and unless objections are received, in writing, by the Committee before 4 July 2003 the changes will be deemed agreed by the membership.

A summary of the proposals is as follows:
• Minutes of the 2002 AGM are approved.
• The Club’s audited accounts for the year ended 31 March 2003 are approved.
• The Committtee is authorised to appoint an auditor for the purposes of auditing the accounts for the year ended 31 March 2004.
• The proposed change to Club Rule 5.6 namely:
From: “The quorum at a Committee Meeting shall be 2/3rds (two-thirds) of the elected Committee members. Any member absent without reason for more than three consecutive meetings shall cease to be a member of the Committee.”
to: “The quorum at a Committee Meeting shall be a minimum of 6 of the elected Committee members. Any member absent without reason for more than three consecutive meetings shall cease to be a member of the Committee.” is agreed.

CLUB NOTICE BOARD
•The Club Shop is open for business every Sunday, from 5.20 pm to 7.30 pm in the entrance to the leisure centre Don’t forget to pay it a visit
• Club Tracksuits and towels are available from the Club Shop.
• Personalised hats for September order from the Club Shop on Sundays by the end of July

• CLUB BBQ WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE OPEN AIR POOL ON FRIDAY, 4 JULY 2003 Tickets are available from Sonja Ballingall
